Join The Williams YMCA of Avery County for our 5K Reindeer Run! This 3.1 mile race is fun for everyone, bring the whole family! You may run, jog or walk the course, whatever pace you choose. Be prepared for sun, wind, rain or snow, it’s December in the mountains! The 5K Reindeer Run begins and ends at the Crossnore School gymnasium. The course is mostly paved but includes some trail and gravel paths. Prizes will be given to the most festively dressed participant and the top finishers. After the race stay for the Blitzen Bash and Silent Auction!

This years event will begin at the Old Dixon High School. Registration opens at 8, race times begin at 9am, 9:30 and 10:30am for the 1K. There will be a 5K/ 10K and kids run with professional timing.
This is a joint partnership with Downtown Dixon Business Association and The Dixon High School Cross Country Team. Proceeds will go toward the DDBA and local charities.

The race starts and ends at The Center for Women at 39 E. Jordan Street (next door to The First Baptist Church) in beautiful, downtown Brevard, NC. The race is the kick-off event for the Brevard Twilight Festival so bring the family for a whole day of fun!
